Brendan Nortje is a qualified Human Movement Science educator who completed his degree at UP in 2015, and has always been zealously involved in playing and, since 2011, coaching sport. He also completed, amongst other courses, World Rugby Coaching Level 2 and WR Level 1 Coaching 7-a-side in 2016. Brendan is currently the Director of Sport at Reddam House Waterfall.
His youth and enthusiasm ensures that the admirable experience and qualifications he gained thus far will only be the start of a lifelong quest to hone his passion and skills, in order to help children develop a passion for sport and their future. Brendan has excellent leadership, team player, problem-solving and people skills, and aspires to further his education through various coaching courses, as well as completing his Honours degree in Educational Management, Policy and Law.
Johan du Toit lives his passion for sport and people through his motto: providing constructive contributions to change lives in a positive way.
He completed his BA Physical Education in 1980, and his HOD in 1981. Since then Johan has been enthusiastically building an impressive and diverse career in teaching, as well as coaching, developing and administering rugby at schools and on a provincial level. He is currently the Director of Sport Development, as well as the Director of Rugby Development, at Eldoraigne High.
Johan has received numerous awards and reached laudable milestones throughout his career, including being chosen as team manager and assistant coach for the South Africa President’s XV team (composed of Currie Cup players), for the 2013 IRB Tbilisi Cup, hosted by Georgia, where South Africa won the inaugural tournament. Johan’s innovation, integrity, professionalism, excellent people sills, and his commitment to teamwork will ensure that he will continue to grow in his own career, while empowering and enriching the lives of everyone he meets.
Sport Coaching Science Academy’s vision serves as a guideline for each and every student’s aspect of our company, ensuring a successful future for them as a professional coach. Our goal is to position the Sport Coaching Science Academy as the gold standard of sports, coaching, training, education, entertainment and lifestyle within our students on school level. Not only do we do theory, but also practical sessions to ensure the students get the full experience of being a professional coach.
Sport Coaching Science Academy is an online academy that aims to promote an opportunity for students at school level from Grade 8 to Grade 11 to obtain an Accredited Coaching Certificate. We want to ensure students enjoy sports, while emphasizing a positive consumer experience and instilling the core values of discipline, teamwork, safety, respect and integrity in the field of coaching.
SCSA focuses on both the theoretical and practical aspects of coaching, ensuring students are exposed to the full experience during their studies.
